The I-19, first at the revolution

Things are changing fast in the arena where technology meets agriculture. The folks at Revolution Drones met that challenge head-on with the first shipment of I-19 Agricultural Drones to growers in December of 2025.
These are fully integrated and working machines ready to do work. They are the first of the Revolution Drones line to ship, and represent a sweet-spot: Not too big to be cumbersome on a eight- or ten-acre field, but not so small as be unproductive on a full-section.
I-19 Highlights
- Tanks available for spraying, spreading and seeding.
- User friendly operation and maintenance.
- Robust construction featuring many carbon fiber components.
- Accurate radar for smart terrain following and obstacle avoidance.
While the first 100+ units were shipped from Brazil to the US, Revolution Drones has the right to continue development and is actively engaged in developing manufacturing in the US. Meanwhile, they continue to refine the software from right here in the US, by farmers for farmers.

I took my I-19 out for several flights this past week to test the flight controller and object avoidance. I turned off the applicator system so I could fly the pattern on an empty tank. This field required many short runs and turns, reducing the ground it can cover. Without trying, I covered 13.5 acres in just barely less than 10 minutes. Assuming (5) ten-minute runs per hour produces 67.5 acres per hour. An eight-hour day can easily allow 600 acres with an I-19.
The I-19 may be packaged many different ways. The most flexible set up includes the drone, the spray system, the spreader / seeder system, a single charger, three drone batteries, controller with two hot-swap batteries, and an RTK attachment that allows the controller to act as a GPS RTK rover for tracing field boundaries.
